FEATURES

  • Organic and Safe: Our boards are finished with USDA certified ORGANIC fractionated coconut oil, carnauba wax, and local beeswax.

  • 100% Natural and Non-Toxic: No wood glues, stains or dyes that could be transferred to your wood are used on our boards.  Only the natural ingredients described above.

  • Variety of Woods: This listing features our Jatoba Cutting Board. Known for its dark reddish-brown hue and remarkable durability, Jatoba is one of the hardest woods available, with a Janka Hardness rating of 2800. Its density and resistance to wear make it an excellent choice for long-lasting kitchen essentials. We also offer a range of other premium hardwoods, each with its own unique characteristics and colors, so you can find the perfect board to suit your kitchen’s style and meet your specific needs.

  • Size Options: Our Jatoba Cutting Boards come in a variety of sizes to suit your needs, from small prep boards to large serving boards. Choose the size that best fits your cooking and serving needs.

  • Easy Maintenance: Keeping your board in excellent condition is easy. Simply wash with warm, soapy water, allow it to air dry, and regularly apply our specially formulated cutting board oil.

BOARD SPECIFICATIONS

  • Each board is handcrafted and may vary in size by plus or minus 1/2 inch to ensure the highest quality.
  • Boards are approximately 1/2-3/4" thick.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BOARD

  1. Wash: Clean with warm, soapy water. Avoid submerging or soaking.
  2. Dry: Let the board air dry completely.
  3. Oil: Apply Rugged Woodworking board oil generously and rub it in with a cloth. Reapply after each use or at least 2-3 times a month.
  4. Condition: For deeper conditioning, use our wood conditioner 1-2 times a month. This specially formulated blend nourishes and maintains your board’s condition.

PLEASE NOTE: Natural wood color may transfer to cleaning rags, especially during the first few washes. Use a towel you don’t mind potentially discoloring.

Give your kitchen a fresh look with our Jatoba Cutting Board and enjoy the craftsmanship from Rugged Woodworking. Pick the size that suits you best and appreciate a kitchen essential that offers both durability and style.
